Fine Art Portraits
Fine Art Portraits
Commissioned portraits artwork are created with light, intention, and legacy in mind.

Fine art portraits are not created with a quick photo session or a collection of digital images. They are carefully designed pieces of personal artwork, created to become part of your home, your story, and your family legacy.
The experience begins with planning. We'll talk through the feeling you want your portrait to have, the people or season of life you want to honor, and where the finished artwork may live in your home. This may include art inspiration, mood boards, wardrobe planning, costuming, makeup direction, color palettes, fabrics, textures, background choices, and framing ideas.
Every detail is considered before the session begins. Clothing, posture, expression, lighting, composition, and color all work together to create a portrait that feels timeless, elegant, and deeply personal.
During the session, you will be carefully guided through posing, expression, hand placement, posture, and movement. Light is shaped intentionally to sculpt the face, create depth, and bring a painterly quality to the final portrait. Unlike a headshot or branding session, this experience is focused on creating one-of-a-kind portrait artwork. This is a calm, directed fine art portrait experience designed to create one-of-a-kind artwork.
After the session, your selected portrait is refined through detailed post-production and professional retouching. The goal is not to change who you are, but to bring the final artwork to life with polish, depth, tone, texture, and beautiful light.
Your finished portrait can be created as a fine art print, custom framed wall portrait, heirloom album, or statement piece designed for your home. These portraits are not made to disappear in a phone gallery. They are created to be displayed, remembered, and passed down for generations.

Fine Art Portrait FAQ
What is a fine art portrait?
A fine art portrait is a carefully planned and artistically finished portrait designed to become personal artwork. Unlike a standard headshot or branding photo, a fine art portrait involves creative direction, styling, lighting, posing, post-production, and final presentation as a print, framed portrait, album, or wall art.
How much should I expect to invest in a fine art portrait?
Fine art portrait sessions are custom quoted based on the creative direction, planning, styling, artwork selection, retouching, framing, and final presentation. Because these portraits are designed as finished artwork rather than a standard photo session, the investment depends on the scope of the portrait experience and how you would like to display your final images.
Clients typically invest between $1,200 and $2,500 for their fine art portrait experience, including the portrait session and finished artwork selected for their home. Larger wall portraits, custom framing, albums, additional artwork, or more involved creative concepts may increase the final investment.
During your consultation, we'll talk through your vision, wardrobe or costuming ideas, makeup, location or studio needs, artwork options, and whether you are interested in fine art prints, framed wall portraits, albums, or statement pieces.
A custom quote will be provided before your session is scheduled so you understand the full investment before moving forward.
Do I need to know how to pose?
No. You will be guided throughout the entire session. I'll help with posture, expression, hand placement, movement, and flattering light so the experience feels calm, comfortable, and natural.
Can we plan wardrobe, costuming, or makeup?
Yes. Wardrobe, costuming, makeup, color palettes, fabrics, textures, and styling can all be part of the planning process. The goal is to create a cohesive portrait that feels intentional, timeless, and personal.
Are fine art portraits only for individuals?
No. Fine art portraits can be created for individuals, couples, families, mothers and daughters, generations, children, seniors, or anyone who wants a meaningful portrait designed as artwork.
Do you offer fine art nude portraits?
