High School Senior Portraits
High School Senior Portraits in Edmonds, WA
Senior year is a once-in-a-lifetime season — full of excitement, change, confidence, and possibility. Your high school senior portraits should feel beautiful, personal, and true to who you are, while giving your family images that will be treasured long after graduation.
At Chad Bridwell Photography, each senior portrait session is thoughtfully planned around your style, personality, wardrobe, location, and the kind of images you want to create. Whether you love soft natural light, a refined studio look, or an outdoor setting that feels meaningful to you, your session will be designed to feel polished, relaxed, and completely personal.
You do not need to know how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. Throughout your session, you’ll be guided with natural posing, flattering light, and gentle direction so you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful without looking overly staged.
For parents, senior portraits are more than pictures for graduation announcements. They are a way to remember this important chapter before everything begins to change. Your finished images can become fine art prints, albums, wall portraits, and keepsakes designed to be displayed, shared, and remembered.
Chad Bridwell Photography creates high school senior portraits for students and families in Edmonds, Lynnwood, Bellevue, Bothell, Kirkland, Everett, Mill Creek, Mukilteo, Redmond, Shoreline, and the greater Seattle area.

Whether you want soft outdoor portraits, a refined studio look, or a session that includes meaningful locations, the goal is to create images that celebrate this milestone and give your family portraits you’ll be proud to display for years.
Senior Portrait FAQ
What should I wear for senior portraits?
Choose outfits that feel like you but photograph well. Solid colors, flattering fits, simple layers, dresses, denim, jackets, and subtle accessories can all work beautifully. Before your session, we can talk through wardrobe ideas based on your style, location, and the look you want for your portraits.
Can we choose the location?
Yes. We can photograph in studio, outdoors in beautiful natural light, or at a location that feels meaningful to you. I can also suggest senior portrait locations around Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, Bothell, Kirkland, and the greater Seattle area.
Do you help with posing?
Yes. You do not need to know how to pose. I’ll guide you through natural posing, movement, expression, and flattering light so you feel comfortable and confident throughout the session.
Can parents be involved in the planning?
Absolutely. Senior portraits are meaningful for both the student and the family. Parents are welcome to help with planning, wardrobe ideas, image selection, and choosing final portraits for announcements, albums, prints, or wall art.
Can I bring a friend or parent to my senior portrait session?
Yes. You are welcome to bring a parent, friend, or someone who helps you feel comfortable and confident. Many seniors like having a parent there to help with wardrobe, hair, small details, and encouragement during the session.
Friends can also be helpful and fun, but the focus of the session will remain on creating beautiful senior portraits for you. If you would like a few photos with a friend or parent, we can usually include a small number during the session depending on timing and location.
Can I bring props, sports gear, instruments, or pets to my senior portrait session?
Yes. Meaningful props can be a beautiful way to personalize your senior portraits. Musical instruments, sports equipment, letterman jackets, uniforms, books, vehicles, flowers, or items connected to your hobbies and interests can all help tell the story of who you are during this season.
The key is to keep props intentional and not let them take over the session. We’ll plan ahead so anything you bring fits naturally with your wardrobe, location, and overall style.
Pets are welcome for some sessions depending on the location and timing. If you would like to include a dog, horse, or another animal, let’s talk through the details in advance so we can plan safely and create the best possible portraits.
Can we take senior portraits on private property or in unique locations?
Yes, unique locations can make senior portraits feel personal and meaningful, but all sessions must take place in safe, appropriate, and legally accessible areas. If you would like to use private property, permission must be obtained in advance from the property owner.
I do not photograph in restricted areas, unsafe locations, or places where we would need to trespass, ignore posted signs, block traffic, climb unstable structures, enter abandoned buildings, or do anything illegal or dangerous to create an image.
Your comfort and safety are always the priority. I also do not photograph minors in nude, implied nude, overly provocative, or unsafe situations. Senior portraits should feel beautiful, confident, age-appropriate, and respectful while still reflecting your personality and style.
Chad Bridwell Photography reserves the right to pause, reschedule, or end a session if a location, request, behavior, or situation creates a safety concern, legal concern, or does not align with the professional and respectful nature of the session.
When should we schedule senior portraits?
Many families schedule senior portraits during the summer before senior year or early fall, especially if images are needed for yearbook deadlines or graduation announcements. Spring sessions can also work well for families who want a fresh seasonal look.
What can we do with the final portraits?
Your senior portraits can be used for graduation announcements, albums, fine art prints, framed portraits, wall art, and keepsakes for family members.
